Job Function

Assist the Sports Information Coordinator with publicizing information and promoting events and activities of the Athletic department.

Essential Duties Summary

-Update athletic website, including schedules, rosters, student athlete bios, coach bios, news pages, etc.
-Coordinate team, individual, and action photographs for publicity purposes
-Update Hall of Fame members
-Secure team statistics
-Gather information for publications (Media Guide, Year in Review, Handbook, Camp Brochures, etc)
-Serve as liaison for SAAC
-Assist with event preparation (home events, banquets, golf outings, etc)
-Perform data entry
-Perform related duties as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Sports Information Coordinator.


Preliminary Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have knowledge of computer skills in Word, Excel and web page networking. Must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relations with athletic staff, coaches, and students, and relate well to student athletes.

Preferred Qualifications

Regular schedule will be 10 hours per week. Working hours are flexible and will depend on the schedule of activities. May include evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands
Work Hours To be determined. Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted. Hours may not exceed 30 per week.

Salary $9.1579 - $12.3064 per hour (2017-18 salary range)
