Job Function

Perform various clerical duties in support the Financial Services Department.

Essential Duties Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Reviews refund request forms, verifies calculations, updates spreadsheets
-General clerical duties including work processing, filing, answering phones, photocopying, and faxing.
-Opens mail, time/date stamps and prepares mailings
-May research departmental issues
-May coordinate work with, or assist full-time clerical staff, as assigned
-Must be able to handle confidential information
-Performs related duties as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Financial Services. Takes daily direction from the Manager of Accounting Services.

Preliminary Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School education or GED equivalent with some college level courses in accounting or general business.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent writing and verbal skills and the ability to follow precise procedures are required. High degree of accuracy required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Must be operational with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Work Hours To be determined. Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted. Hours may not exceed 20 per week.

Salary $11.2156-$14.7482 per hour (2017-18 salary range)
