Job Function

To take notes for special service students.

Essential Duties Summary

• Take notes for students, including recording main ideas from instructor’s presentations, lectures, handouts, examples, etc.
• Copy notes for students, if more than one student is receiving notes.
• Communicate directly with Special Needs Students to insure quality services

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Counseling & Academic Advising or supervisor as assigned. May take direction from full or part-time staff.


Preliminary Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Must have some college education. Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and an A or B in the subject area.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES: Must have subject area knowledge. Excellent organizational skills, neat legible handwriting, punctual regular class attendance. Must maintain confidentiality.

Work Hours To be scheduled by the department as needed, but not to exceed 20 hours per week. Days and hours may vary and may include evenings and weekends.

Salary $9.1579 - $12.3064 per hour (17-18 salary range)
