Job Function

Perform various clerical duties in support of full-time staff. Provide support services to Learning Center customers including faculty, staff, and community members.

Essential Duties Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-General clerical duties including answering phones, routing calls, filing, distributing materials, photocopying, typing and faxing.
-May distribute mail and prepare mailings
-Pick up and deliver items from various departments, as necessary
-Greet and properly direct students and staff
-Collect data and build departmental records
-Facilitate student testing procedures as assigned
-Track and order supplies
-Participate in departmental trainings as appropriate
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to department administrator or assigned supervisor or other designee.

Preliminary Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Six months equated related work experience or a demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must provide extensive customer service with courtesy and concerned attention to individual needs. Must create and maintain an environment that creates a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and student success. Will provide direct assistance to accommodate client needs, so must be able to deal with diverse populations. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow precise procedures are important. May also be required to use IIS system, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Work Hours To be determined. Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted. Hours may not exceed 20 per week.

Salary $9.1579 - $12.3064 per hour (2017-18 salary range)
