Job Function

To perform clerical tasks and support the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Essential Duties Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-General clerical duties including typing, filing, answering phones, photocopying, scanning and faxing
-Provide excellent customer service
-Greet and properly direct students, staff and community members
-Schedule appointments for new and existing clients
-Create and organize client files
-Provide support for Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship events
-May perform research and information gathering tasks
-May be required to communicate with other college departments
-Pick up and deliver items from various departments, as necessary
-Perform other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the department administrator or supervisor as assigned. May take direction from full-time staff.

Preliminary Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED equivalent. Some education including relevant course work and/or formal training preferred. Faculty recommendation required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The candidate will provide courteous customer service and have the ability to interact and with diverse populations. The candidate will create and maintain a professional environment that creates a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and success. The candidate will develop a working knowledge of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Innovation Fund, in order to provide accurate information to all inquiries. The candidate must have the ability to manage time efficiently and work in a team environment.
Excellent writing and verbal skills and the ability to follow precise procedures are required. A high degree of accuracy required. The candidate may be asked to provide a writing sample and to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Work Hours To be determined. Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted. Hours may not exceed 20 per week.

Salary $11.2156-$14.7482 per hour (2017-18 salary range)
