Job Function

Provide technical support and assistance to staff and students of the MACA department

Essential Duties Summary

-Research, recommend, and order computer and computer related equipment for Mac OS and Windows PC
-Install and maintain connectivity network within all MACA Labs
-Provide student assistance in all current Avid software within MACA during labs
-Daily maintenance of computer labs (clean and make minor repairs)
-Daily maintenance of B/W, color printers and supplies
-Monitor equipment during open lab hours
-Maintain lab security
-Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED/GIVEN: Reports to the Associate Dean; takes direction from full-time faculty of MACA department.

Preliminary Qualifications

EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED equivalent. Must be a current MACA student or have knowledge of computer applications (Adobe and Autodesk) and operating systems (Mac/PC.)

EXPERIENCE: Should have experience with Macintosh and/or Windows operating systems. Should have experience with Adobe and Autodesk software. Should have experience with Server Network connectivity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Some heavy lifting required, including loads of up to 80lbs. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be familiar with computer equipment, supplies and procedures. Attention to detail and organization important.

Work Hours To be determined. Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted. Hours may not exceed 30 per week.

Salary $11.2156-$14.7482 per hour (2017-18 salary range)
